LinkedIn India Grows to 15 Million Small Business Owners and Professionals
LinkedIn announced this week that LinkedIn India has grown to over 15 million members.
At a growth rate of 300% since the launch of operations, that makes LinkedIn India the 2nd largest market for LinkedIn after the United States.
The site is growing so rapidly that LinkedIn has opened a headquarters in Mumbai, two sales offices in Gurgaon and Bangalore and a Technology Centre research and development facility in Bangalore (Bengaluru). As the economies of India and the other BRIC countries continue to develop and grow, online professional networks like LinkedIn will play an increasingly important role in connecting business owners and professionals in India and throughout the rest of the world.
